Really Good!

I loved it, the music is awesome, the storyline is pretty interesting and the drawings are quite... cute, in a way :)

But why french? It does not seem to be your first language (cuz' there are a few awkward mistakes) and I didn't much see the reference to french culture troughout the movie, so I'm curious about what motivated you :)

Spune responds:

I the title as a play on "cirque du soleil" and yes it's not my first language. It's not really supposed to be set in France, but the "cirque" does of course travel (as was hinted at by the idea that the circus train disappears.)

The name also means "Circus of Children". Now people might assume that "Cirque Des Enfants" means "a circus FOR children" but as the end of the film reveals it LITERALLY is a circus OF children. So that was my thinking.

But glad you loved the film. :)

Not bad!

Animation is a ten out of ten, seriously, it was great stuff, enjoyable to the eye! But the punchline would need some refining, there wasn't much of a joke there.... except that he missed the target and shot a flying chicken randomly. But he, really good looking! :)

My favorite of the bunch

I watch a lot of your cartoons, Mr. Firth, and I can say I'm pretty fond of them. Yet they are truly disturbing.... in some way, I think I'm trying to catch some mental disease by watching over Salad Fingers' episodes and other of your more creepier stuff....

Good job, I hope someday you'll go on animating this serie, it's one of my favourite character/cartoon/etc. here on newgrounds.

Spyro?

Oh, I get it.... would have been kinda funny if Pyro cheated on Spy too xD but it's worth this joke too anyway :P good work, really enjoyable!

Awesome!

Since it's for a contest, it's ok to redirect toward the website that will make your views count! This animation is a marketing support so it's normal to put the ad on the other site. The animation is pretty funny, too, almost better than the ad itself ;)

Great Skills

I think the scenario was pretty basic, not quite funny but made me smile, kinda like a bugs bunny cartoon, you know: you see it coming, and you think it's kinda ... cute? anyways, the animation is really well done, fluid and all. The Mom thing was reminding me of old cartoons too. I think the only downside was the color, it was maybe a little too bland on the bedroom walls and floor. And the stressed zoom on the blood puddle was kinda messy, maybe you tried to do to much: if you didn't tilt the '"camera" on the sides and didn't move forward with EACH stress of the music, it could have looked a little bit cleaner.

Nice flash, seriously! :)

medli20 responds:

Aah, yeah, now that you mention it they are pretty bland. Next time I think I'll add posters on the walls or something to make it look better. I also see what you mean about the zoom. I tried to go for a bit of an overly-dramatic feel, but it kind of backfired. If I do something like that again I'll try to make it a little milder.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I really appreciate it! ;D

Love it

You got me, it's my favorite Beatles song too.
I think the best points in this flash are the visuals idea: the eclipse, the melting ice, the reflexion in sunglasses, etc. You had nice "camera-effects" and interesting perspectives. The cheerful feeling, the soothing warmth of the sun is clearly felt through your movie, at least for me.

I think the only downside are the drawings. It's not that they are bad... okay, it seemed a bit choppy sometimes and I feel that it drag down a little bit the overall feeling, but what annoyed me with the drawings was that they were kinda cheesy sometimes, like the baby things, the couple looking at the sunset. Mainly the still images. The animated sections with effects were really well done!

I really liked it, keep doing awesome flashes on awesome music!

Meeeeeeeeeeh!

Okay, I won't elaborate on this one. The credits were quite funny, and I would have liked to be able to actually read them, since they went so fast. I caught a few jokes and laughed, yet I surely missed some. The animation itself was disappointing, not by the shortness of the clip, but because the punchline, was mediocre. He simply slaps down the picture? It lacked something. I tell you it's good, but far from your usual genious, but eh, when you're such a celebrity, you can't always put up with your public's growing expectations :)

As your habit, great artworks and fluid animation, nice music, etc., you still get the good grades :)

Glad it works now :)

I truly liked that submission! You got a nice drawing style and the message was quite clear, even a bit touching :) If not for the computer quality that was not awesome and the abrupt end, it would be perfect! :) I love the music, too, nice choice!

Nice flash, I long to see more of your work on Newgrounds!

Suncomes responds:

It took me several tries, BUT, I did it.

(I just pictured myself Dora the Explorer and Babouche signing the famous "We did it!" they sing at the end of each quest... wierd...)

Weird.

I like all your other flash, but this one didn't quite amuse me. Since I can't say why, I'll rate a good score cause the "damnit" was a good punchline, but I should say that it's one of your "a little bit less awesome than usual" flash. Still pretty good :)
