Didn't Like it
And I'll tell you why: first, the storyline is poor, there's a guy, he kills a fuckin' million people better equipped than he is, and maybe he dies in the end. I wasn't convinced, I didn't feel it was catchy enough, new enough. It was ok, but I was like "Woa, another stickfigure animation where the guy's shootin'....." We get tired really fast of that kind of thing, stickfigures are cool only if you make something really original out of it.
The animation was not all that great for it was dark, in black and white tones except for the blood, the stickmen were unnatural, like too tall or something, it was hard to dinstinguish the main character from the others, who were bad or good. The black fade that appears in almost each frame! God, that's bad, we can't see the animation, you abuse of it, because it only shows that you subtitute a fluid animation that you clearly can't do by cutting it with fade in fade off that will give me an epilepsy seizure. Finally, there's nothing new to the fighting movements you made. I saw more impressive things in a flash movie, you can do better than just makin' him shoot and makin' heads explode. Come on, add some melee weapon, some martial art moves, dodging thing, anything!
One last thing about that: It get really repetitive and I got bored easily. trying adding a pause in the action to develop the story or let the character move! He's always surrounded by ennemies, shooting them to death!
Now the few good points, because yes I see some, I'm not all that bad and ugly and meany: There's is some cool camera angle, the surveillance camera, the first person thing, the over the head view, it was really full of various shots, bravo.
Then I think the only GOOD fighting (if you can call that fighting) scene that was original was the shotgun thing. When the SWAT guy gotta use multiple cartridges to end the hero's days. When his arm rips off and then is head just desintegrate, that was more epic than everything put together in that flash.
So there's potential, just keep in mind that you must add variety, try different things in the same flash instead of just SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT DIE. Add colors or birghtness to the picture you show us, I wanna see where the guy is, not just a bunch of plain gray walls! Then, if you make a story and add more movements (i wanna see stunts too!) well it could be a fucking number 10 out of 10 I'll give you next time! :D
PS: Yeah, I guess you'll rate my review "useless" or maybe "abusive" (that, I don't think so, but...) but remember that it is my personnal opinion and that I worked my ass off to come with the good and bad points of that flash, according to both the technical quality and the feeling it gave me when I watched it.
Then, for how I express myself, know that English isn't my native language (or whatever you call it) so I my sentences are a bit twisted, I'd rather write twisted phrases that I know to be grammaticaly correct (or somewhat near) than writing incorrect and incoherent bunch of mispelled words.
Anyway, hope you'll improve your flash capability!
